About Pratap ji
Pratap Jadhav was a visionary leader and pioneer in promoting cycling sports in India, especially in Maharashtra. He dedicated his life to building and nurturing the cycling movement, playing a key role in shaping the future of the sport across the country.
He was an integral part of and led teams within the
-
Cycling Association of Maharashtra (CAM),
-
Maharashtra Olympic Association (MOA), and
-
Cycling Federation of India (CFI).
Through these organizations, he worked tirelessly to create opportunities for young cyclists, organize national and state-level events, and put Indian cycling on the international map. His leadership, mentorship, and passion made him a revered figure, not just among athletes, but also among sports administrators and enthusiasts.
Maharashtra's emergence as a powerhouse of Indian cycling owes much to his relentless efforts, vision, and undying love for the sport.
The cycling and sports fraternity has lost a true champion, but Pratap Jadhav’s legacy will continue to ride on — in every young cyclist's dream, every event he helped build, and every mile traveled on the roads he opened for the generations to come.
Our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and the entire cycling community.
Rest in peace, Pratap Sir. You showed us how to chase dreams on two wheels — and beyond.
