Field Visits Across Pune City: Building Community Partnerships to Nourish Hope

Creating a TB-free India requires more than healthcare interventions—it requires collective action from communities, institutions, and compassionate individuals. At Olympia Trust, our field visits across Pune City have become an important step in building meaningful partnerships that support tuberculosis (TB) patients through the TB Nutrition Food Basket Initiative under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

Our outreach team has been actively engaging with corporate organizations, hospitals, educational institutions, and religious trusts to spread awareness about the importance of nutritional support during TB treatment. Every visit provides an opportunity to share the impact of the initiative, discuss collaboration opportunities, and encourage organizations to become CSR partners or Nikshay Mitras.

As part of this outreach, the team visited Symbiosis University, Lavale, where discussions focused on youth engagement, volunteer participation, and institutional collaboration for community health initiatives. Meetings with Shankar Maharaj Math and Dadawadi Temple highlighted the important role that faith-based organizations can play in mobilizing community support and encouraging charitable contributions towards TB nutrition. The team visited Dagdusheth Ganpati Trust, Lord Venkateshwara Trust, where they assured us of addressing the challenges.

These visits go beyond fundraising—they create lasting relationships built on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to improving public health. The photographs captured during these interactions showcase the collective efforts of organizations coming together for a common cause and demonstrate Olympia Trust's continued commitment to working at the grassroots level.

Every conversation, every partnership, and every commitment made during these field visits brings us one step closer to ensuring that no TB patient has to fight the disease alone. Together, we are building a compassionate network that nourishes hope and contributes towards health.

From Industrial Hubs to Rural Communities: Expanding the Reach of TB Nutrition Support

Meaningful change begins with meaningful conversations. Olympia Trust continues to strengthen its mission of supporting tuberculosis (TB) patients by conducting extensive field visits across Kurkumbh MIDC, Daund, engaging industries, healthcare institutions, and government health officials to expand the reach of the TB Nutrition Food Basket Initiative.

The industrial belt of Kurkumbh MIDC offers tremendous potential for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships. During visits to organizations such as Clean Science and Shogun Limited, our team introduced the TB Nutrition Food Basket Initiative and discussed how corporate organizations can contribute towards improving the nutritional well-being of TB patients. These interactions focused on employee engagement, CSR collaboration, and long-term partnerships that create measurable social impact. The team also met healthcare professionals at Niramaya Multi Speciality Hospital and Cancer Centre to explore partnerships that strengthen patient referrals, awareness activities, and nutritional support for TB patients.

To strengthen implementation at the grassroots level, the team also visited the Daund Primary Health Centre (PHC) and interacted with local health officials involved in the National TB Elimination Programme. These discussions helped improve coordination for beneficiary identification, food basket distribution, monitoring, and community outreach, ensuring that nutritional support reaches eligible patients in a timely manner.

Each field visit provides valuable insights into local needs while strengthening collaboration between the healthcare system, industries, and community organizations. The photographs captured during these visits reflect genuine engagement, active participation, and the shared commitment of every stakeholder working towards a common goal.

By building partnerships across industrial and rural communities, Olympia Trust is creating a sustainable support system that enables TB patients to receive the nutrition they need during treatment. Every new collaboration strengthens our mission and brings us closer to achieving the vision of a TB-free India where every patient receives care, dignity, and hope.
